Lakeside feed is owned and operated by Jerry and Toni Schiano. We have been raising animals since 1978. In that twenty-five years we realized how much families loved watching and learning about animals.Around two years ago, since everyone came to visit anyway, we decided to open a feed store on our farm. Hence our motto, "Why go to the store, when you can buy direct from the farm."
People get tired of stores not having what they need, or having a product one month and discontinuing it the next. What's more annoying is waiting two/three weeks for a product to come in. We try very hard to keep up with all our customers needs and of course their animals needs.
We especially love exotic animals. At the farm, you'll find dozens of llamas, a reindeer, ostriches, chickens, turkeys, a miniature horse, a miniature donkey, emus, peacocks, pheasants, doves, pigeons, sheep, goat, guinea pigs, and chinchillas.
We love to talk about animals, and we'll be more than happy to help you with yours. Animals are a way of life, they need us. It's a great feeling to raise animals from birth to either sell or keep on the farm for others to enjoy.
When you're in North Guilford, please don't hesitate to stop! We're pretty much always home.
